Welcome to Tnet. If people went to the parks and deposited trash, there must be coins there. Use the smallest coil you can get for your detector so you can only get one item under it at a time.

I dug several UXOs while stationed there so be careful . Parks are good ,EUROS add up fast! Good luck,I may be back in Germany in 2014 if all goes well. Loved it there.
