Thanks for calling metal detecting a sport. Many describe it more as a hobby, but when you think about it what we do is quite physical. In fact when I started metal detecting several years ago I lost 10 pounds almost immediately due to walking, swinging, digging, ect. So in addition to golf, tennis, softball, and others let's get out there and enjoy our sport.
