Hey all, I just wanted to give a shout out to Wayne at MetalDetectingStuff.com . I got my new Lesche Sampson 31" T-handle and my new STEALTH 720i scoop in yesterday and they are both works of art...can't wait to try them out. He is as cheap as anybody else and he's right here on these forums to answer your questions. AAAND he didn't even pay me for this commercial!:icon_thumright:

Hey Wayne, if I were to be detecting @90% land and 10% water, would it be feasible to get the Grey Ghost amphibian headphones, or get the Garrett blue ones? I'm using the stock headphones now but want to get better ones. I'm not really planning on getting all the way underwater but it'll probably happen eventually. Are the Grey Ghost THAT much better sound wise?

Yeah I hope so Bigfoot, it's setting in the hot sun letting the new paint cure good before I try it out.

Chad, waterproof headphones are lower in volume than the stock headphones. The Gray Ghost Amphibians are louder and fit tighter than the blue Garrett's.

Like uncomfortably tighter than the Garretts?

Basically what I want to know is are the Grey Ghost Amphibians worth a crap for land hunting. And can you slide one side over your ear and just use one side? I like to do that when pinpointing.

Yes you can slide them over and they are great for land.
