METAL HANDLE ON BOTTLE

[SHERMANVILLE ILLINOIS]

.....Under the weather for the last three weeks,
got out in the woods today, felt good.

Out just past first light, seven something around
here. Temps in the low 30's, bit cool and overcast
but no wind.

Had a good time, lots of deer, birds, and things
running around the floor of the woods.

Most of the trees still not turning, but a few...


Getting to my what is it. I know what it is, but
not sure when. Did not find anything really interesting,
out looking for dumps.

When did they stop making bottles with metal handles,
I'm thinking late 40's early 50"s. Could be?

You can still get Grolsch (beer) in that type of bottle.

Looks like the top off of a Meyers one gallon whisky jug.Would have had a thin wooden handle on the wire.Im thinkin turn of the century.Just a stab....Joe

Really don't like beers from here, major headache within 5 mins of one sip. But those German beers over there MMmmm. Love em.

Lots of beers over there with those types of tops. Great when so many little communities make thier own beers and wines.
