Metal horse head

Found this on the beach today on cape cod, MA. I thought it was just some scrap at first but when I looked at it closer I noticed that it's a horse head. I'm not quite sure what kind of metal it's made out of, it's pretty heavy. The beach I was hunting use to have a small amusement park in the late 1800's. Could this be a metal toy from that era?

looks more terradactyl-ish to me.option b is molten aluminum slag or the like.

To me it looks more like a duck than a horse. And not much like a duck.

Haha I can see how it's hard to tell in the picture. Trust me, it's a horse. I tried to draw over it on my phone.. I don't know if this helps my case any or not lol the eye is white, the main in tan and the reins are maroon
