Metal nuggets... Identification?

Hi all, I'm new on here but joined in light of a recent find(s) I've made. I live in British Columbia and found some unknown what appear to be metal nuggets of some sort. I was hoping someone on here could help potentially identify them as I have no idea! Please let me know what you think!

Could also be Solder.

By surface look I'd say they are definitely from something melting.
and not natural

They resemble platinum nuggets ... except that platinum nuggets that big are very rare and only come from one area in BC, covered in claims.

you can find out, assuming they are of the same composition, and not an alloy of some sort.

All you need is a graduated beaker, and an accurate scale.

Weigh them all together.

Put some water in the beaker, add the nuggets, and the difference in the water line will be the total volume of the material.

Then simply go online and find a volume/weight ratio chart for metals, and there you have an accurate answer.

Thanks for the reply, do you know where I could find such a chart? Tried google but couldn't come up with anything... Also, does it mean anything that it bubbles in Hydrogen Peroxide? Tested a few other metals and didn't get the same results.

Material Weight by Volume

google metal weight/volume, there are probably better ones.

I found some unusual nuggets once, checked them this way, and they came out exactly to tin. I always thought tin was an alloy, but it is a naturally occurring metal.

Knowing where the nuggets were found and the surrounding condition would help in the identification...

This type of finding is posted on TN at least 2 times a year...mostly from people MD'ing public beachs, campgrounds and parks where open fires are permitted...

Might even find them in the mountains where a group of hunters are camping...

Since you are new to the TN site, always provide as much info as possible for a proper ID...(Oh, and leave the BS and guessing games at home)

By the way, pull tabs and melted alum cans are everywhere in must beach communities, especially in So-Cal, like Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Santa Monica...and the list is endless.

That means your nugget is a catalyst of hydrogen peroxide and it is not aluminum and could possibly be platinum or silver I have a similar nugget found in the Potomac river in green ridge state forest (it also bubbles)
