Anyone have a suggestion?

8 inches overall
7 1/2 inches from bottom of spike to the top of the spike portion
1 lb 15 oz

Hmmm...im stumped! Thought maybe a wedge for splitting wood...? Ddf

Looks like cast iron. Would break if hammered on very hard. I'm thinking some kinda ground marker. Grave corner, survey, position marker etc.
