Metate from Mexico

I live in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, and i've found this metate in our ranch, about 40 km from the city.

it has a small hole in the middle... any ideas for this?


coming up next, some puntas de flecha i've found.

This area was territory of the Seris, before the spaniards came

The hole is from having been used to the point it was discarded... Probably looking at a couple of generations of use there.

Love to see the arrowheads.

I do not think I have ever seen one worn down to having a hole in it. Very nice many a meal came from that.
