Meteorite?

Hi guys, I went to a small beach near my cottage this weekend and found a small iron object that could possibly be a meteorite! It rang up as an iron signal and since I wasn't getting many signals I decided to dig it. It sticks to a magnet and the only reason I have high hopes for this possible meteorite is because the lake I found it in was created by a meteorite. Anyone have any ideas?

I would post it in the meteorite forum here at tnet...pretty sharp folks there on these....but looks legit....did the magnet stick REALLY hard to it?

It is possible that it is a meteorite or it could just be Iron slag!
