Mexican-American war letters.

I bought these a while back at a yard sale. They were mixed in bunch of letters. I have no idea on the value of them. The fellow who runs JC Americana (one of the appraisers on the antiques roadshow) was interested in buying them but he wanted to know what my asking my price was and I just have no idea what they're worth. I spoke to another fellow who was also interested but wasn't sure on the value, he did tell me that they're hard to come by. It does mention Gen. Taylor and being there for the capture of a General in the Mexican army. They're very hard to read, even in person.

Haha...I wish! Like I said, I have a hard time reading it as have a few others.
