Mexican Token and Gold

I was hunting a very poor neighborhood (or so I thought) located right on the border. I was hitting the field and finding pretty much nothing. I walked over to check on my Mother-In-Law who was hunting the sand in the playground. She had found a ton of clad and invited me to hunt the back side since she wouldn't get the whole thing before we left. I hit a couple of quarters and then found a Mexican parking token. On the back it says, "Ficha No Tiene Valor" which means Token, No Value. A few minutes later I pulled out the 10K gold chain. I was excited! My M.I.L. was probably regretting inviting me into the sand after that.

You are definitely right about that. I mean, my MIL even has a metal detector... Anyway, thanks to everyone for looking, and I will eventually get back to this site. Poor though the people there may be, there is obviously treasure out there. And I just know that somewhere along this river a lot of Spanish Silver is buried!

I used to detect a lot in el paso, lots of great finds. Lots of gold and silver jewlry because the catholics put this stuff on their very small children, and they lose it in the playground. I have some neat spanish tokens too. One is Pepsi.
