Other than practicing w/detector on different metals and doing some basic research. What the heck do you to keep your sanity?

I gotta agree with Sherm on this......... Ya gotta be a little off center to dig in the dirt for pennies thinkin' you will find the "big one." Myself, I mainly detect swim areas and beaches hoping to spot a gal in a small Thong. It's either think about metal detecting or paint the kitchen.

Sanity? Oh OH, you're in big trouble there. I guess during the winter months you can gain it back somewhat.

I can say that being a "UPPER" myself, even though I moved south to NC.
