No Banner stuff, but plenty of camps here to keep me busy. I don't get out a whole lot now about once every couple of weeks, but still nice to go from time to time ;D

It's all banner stuff IMO . :icon_thumright: Some guys never get to dig an American CW bullet. My buddy in HI digs at those beach resorts for Gold, and wishes he could dig just one CW bullet. Nice finds!

Thanks, IMO its not banner stuff :icon_thumleft: theyre all relatively common relics that I appreciate or I wouldnt keep things like the nails.. I feel bad for your friend, but does Josh feel bad for me that there are no colonial relics here :laughing9: Nope

Looks like it's 44cal if so, that little bullet is a very scarce CS copy of the US bullet for the Hazard revolver that's listed in Mason & McKee's bullet book as #482. The one in the book is made finer and not as crude, also yours is not as pointed and shorter. I've seen one a little smaller, maybe 36cal also. Most of the time they all are grouped together as just pistol bullets, but if you look closely you can tell they are not the same. Also yours has an uncut sprew with a slight cold pour (the hole in the bottom), to me that only makes it more desirable. If I was selling it and it being perfect, I wouldn't take less than $30.00.

Re: Mid-Missouri Civil War relics

Nice Finds Brutha....you know Virginia is ALWAYS here waitin' for you man :occasion14: I guarantee anyone else probably wouldn't have found anything out there, but you brought home the goodies :icon_thumleft:

Re: Mid-Missouri Civil War relics

Jeff, very impressive finds. Sorry I have not had a chance to call you. Things took a turn and I have not gotten out much. I hope to post a few finds from the last week. My calendar lightens up the week of the 24th so I will hit you up. Tomorrow is my birthday and I hope to take a few hours off to find some civil war relics around the area. I did get a few more leads in central Missouri, one is a period home along the old Missouri Pacific railroad.

I am very impressed with your button finds. The only buttons I have found so far were in Mississippi. Trying to mark things off my relic bucket list and finding a button in Missouri is near the top.

Great job and video. Hopefully talk to you soon.

Re: Mid-Missouri Civil War relics

Is your odd bullet a .46 cal Slanting Breech variety? What are the measurements and weight?
