Mid-missouri clubs?

Greetings, this is my first post on Treasure.net, long time listener, first time caller situation. My detecting partner told me that there was once a mid-Missouri detecting club that met in Columbia but he lost track of it years ago. Any ideas if such a club still exists? There seems to be a large number of us around the capital and Columbia so maybe it is time to resurrect such a club.
