Might be about done with ebay

Was done with fleabay years ago. Got burned the last few times.

Take photos of everything you send being put into box any identifying issues with item and send when you get back a different used item file fraud report with postal inspector, ebay and local police call and ***** at police ask about an ebay task force for area. If ebay does not respond name them in police report as facilatator/accomplice to theft in both reports. I had sold items and had a computer die long time ago so out of comminication for 3 days f'in ebay sent the Sheriffs with guns drawn to my property and i was not even out of the ship to period of time.

Really? Come on now. Slight exaggeration maybe? Ebay task force?

After the negative feedback, we went through the appeals process again and this time got somebody who actually understands the situation and they reversed the decision and removed the negative feedback. Seems like if you stick with it, they will eventually come around and do the right thing. Too bad their default attitude seems to be so bad.

A few months ago, I sold a small flat rate box of empty bullet cases. These were the steel kind with berdan primers and they were rusty (can't be reloaded). They were sold as craft supplies. Ebay removed the listing and so I called them. I asked why and they said no bullet components or parts that can be used to make a bullet. I explained that these are rusty steel, not brass and have the wrong kind of primer for reloading. They are not able to be reloaded at all. Then they said, "well, you still can't sell them because there are international regulations that would make it a crime to send these overseas". The lady told me that since it was obvious that I wasn't intentionally trying to break the rules, there would be no consequences. Ok, so then a couple of days later my account gets suspended. I call to ask why and they say it's because I was selling ammunition. I explained the whole thing again and that the lady (even gave her name) said that there were no consequences and the guy said, tough, you are suspended and if you do it again you will be removed as a seller. This is the treatment I get. I give them too much money to be treated like this.

Buyers remorse is too often the problem in my estimation. Too many buyers are damaging pristine items to further their ruse. I take close clear photos but ''Lord Byron" found a spot on a pair of new Ray Ban shooting glasses not pictured and scraped them to the bone. The finish was still curled like it had been planed. Ebay refunded prior to my inspection.

Sorry this happened to you!
I've had my share of the bay problems and now I've quit selling on eBay because of all the stress dealing with FB, shipping and overpriced fees.
If I've got a hardcore item to sell (guitar, amp, recurve bow etc.) I will take them to places (Guitar Center) that give me almost the same money minus the fees that are charged by doing business on eBay. This saves me fees and shipping and best of all Stress.

Dang! That is terrible. Unfortunately I hear horror stories like this a lot. I have been selling on ebay since 2008 and everytime I get a return I bust out my camera and video record the opening of the item in case I ever have a problem. I never have so I do not know if that would help me but it might be worth a try. On another note I wouldn't quit ebay just yet as a lot of people have jumped ship on ebay and ebay has started to make a lot of great changes. My sales have picked up very nicely again after last years slump after the whole paypal separation. Sorry this happened to you though. There are some shady people out there.
