I went to a small island off the coast with a single cellar hole. The finds were tough to sniff out but they were there. It was untouched but maybe just used for a short time back in the day. What i found for coins was a 1813 halifax token, a 1906 large cent and a 1799 british half penny. I think the large cent was just from a passerby on the island at one time way later. The other finds were a spigot, a flat button, a tombac button, two gilt navy commander anchor buttons and a mystery george iii regiment of foot button. Probably a royal sappers or something. Its a shame because the buttons could’ve turned out great if the conditions were a little better. I should try to get too more of the islands around me because there are lots of nicer ones also with cellar holes and long gone homesteads. Just hard to find the time to go plus borrow a boat and have the weather cooperate. Thanks for looking and now off to plan the next hunt! [emoji2][emoji106]
