Machine stamped 1-piece sheetbrass 2-hole and 4-hole buttons marked "Equipements Militaires" have been posted for ID many times in this forum. Those buttons date from the early-1900s all the way up to the present. The name seems to represent a French manufacturer, although the (American) Waterbury Button Company also produces them, because one version is still offered for sale today on that company's website catalog. Militaires Equip. - Waterbury Button
Past posts here at TreasureNet show they've been dug in several countries in Europe and also the US and Canada. They've been seen on WW1 French Army soldier "musette" breadbags, but also on civilian items.
