Can anybody help me out on this ring??

I found it a couple months ago on part of the Nashville battlefield, where both US and CS troops spent time. I can't find anything to help decide whether this is CW era or not.

Thanks for the help

mike

Welcome to TreasureNet mfjohnson - I'm going to list some other posts here that may be helpful...

Someone very recently found a ring that looks just like yours but I cannot find the post... I believe it's a genaric military ring that is (was) available through post/base exchanges probebly since the 1940 till present. Your's is obviously well worn like Crusader mentions in his post that follows...

I bet someone else can find that other post, or PBK can speak to it if he sees this.

Sometimes the marks on the inside are just as important as the design outside. Anything in there?
