It is military tradition that true friends can go long periods of time without speaking and never question their friendship. These friends pick up just like they spoke yesterday, regardless of how long it has been or how far apart they live.

That is so true. Never more true friends will you meet then your friends in the military.

True words my friend.

My best bud in high school, we both went our separate ways, both ended up in Iraq, me for 19 months, him for less than half that. But after returning home, I made a trip up to see him... later his mom told me how thankful she was I came up because he had no one to talk about any of it with at home.

It was like we never missed a year since HS.

Band of Brothers.

This is absolutely true...I got onto facebook and it didn't take long before contacts started rolling in... :icon_thumleft:

Facebook is a great tool for catching up with old buddies. I have called several people that I last saw in 1997 when I got out of the Navy and it was just like old times . A bunch of us are planning a minie reunion some time this year in Charleston SC. We are a little older and fatter but it will be a good time. :icon_thumright:
