Why do you think its fake? priced too low? Could be stolen? It usually takes a while for china to start pumping out fakes and the EQX is still pretty new. Not saying they couldnt be out there, but so far I havent seen any or heard of them.

If you bought it from an authorized dealer, it’s not a fake. If you bought it used, ask the seller where he got it.

Fakes can print any serial number they want on a unit, even a legit s/n.

I doubt the Equinox has been faked yet, but if you bought it online from China, it’s almost certainly a fake.

Anyone buying a used detector, one that especially still under warranty. Ask owner where they purchased. If they hesitate to give answer or give a bogus dealer. That should tell you some thing. Put brakes on and hold.
