The demand world wide was much higher than Minelab anticipated they are not just shipping to the states the demand in Europe was high as well.

They had all the pre orders from dealers months before release. I call BS on this. They are either purposely releasing at a drip flow to keep interest like others have said or they just botched this launch.

If my counting of the USA dealers list on the Minelabs website was correct, there are 233 authorized dealers and ALMOST HALF ARE CABELAS!!! If Minelab allocated every store the same as real detector dealers, that means a single company got half the supply which is being sold through their website and not individual stores.

Believe what you want, it has nothing to do with intentionally making slow delivery and everything to with delivering the best product possible for the high demand.

Sounds plausible. The def arent shipping Cabelas only 6 machines.

I spoke with cabelas Canada yesterday, as there are no minelab products full stop on there website, and the lady I spoke to was useless and basically told me to order through the USA website and pay the exchange and import fees, I have previously bought an xtrerra 705 from them in store.radioworld, minelab dealer in Toronto I spoke to last week told me to call back in April's they have 65 on back order and have only received a few.

How many of us have poked fun at those suckers queuing up for hours and hours for an iPhone, and here we are doing the same thing for a metal detector.

I guess the only positive thing is that we are doing it online and not at an actual brick and mortar location, but the frustration is every bit the same.

If only those silly geeks could see us now!!

$749.00 Is with the 15% Minelab Military rebate/discount. I would call cabelas and see if they too offer said such discount.

Kellyco gave me the 15% but still on back order..

Yep I see 2 different 600 packages one with pro pointer. No 800s though[emoji24]

Yep there seems a few 600s out there but no 800s that I can find. I got the dreaded back order notice from cabelas so I will just have to wait . I am so tempted to get the 600 but there are just too many extra features I am interested in on the 800 , maybe they will pop up somewhere soon.
