I stumbled upon a YouTube channel that may be of interest to those actively searching for Swift mines and what they may or might look like. This guy uses Lidar to locate pits and piles of tailings to find these old mines and sometimes he explores them. I found it interesting and just thought I would share the possible insight it may give. He finds silver/lead/iron/copper/gold mines of the Swift era mostly in the NorthEast. Enjoy!

 

Here is a sample of one of his videos, if I had a drone equipped with Lidar I would put it to good use looking for possible Swift silver mine locations!

 

This YouTube channel is worth subscribing to, lots of information on mines and mining during Swift's time!

 

Lead and Silver are often found together...

 

This is interesting as to how silver was mined 1000+ yrs ago.
