Tonight my dad gave me the coins he had collected as a child.
Not a huge stash, but pretty interesting. Basically a couple of each kind of coin: a few Ikes, a few Morgan dollars, a couple of walking liberties, a franklin half, several Kennedy's, a few Barber quarters, a bunch of mercury head dimes, a few Barber dimes, Indian heads, wheats, and V nickels.
Foreign coins included a 1938 Canadian cent, a 1955 South African 1/4 Penny, and an incredibly tiny silver 1/10 Gulden from Curacao.
Only key date I could find out of all the coins was a 1901-S Barber dime, but it was barely in Good condition...
The interesting thing is that all the Morgans appear to have been gold plated at some time; there was just a smattering of gold coloring remaining. Anybody have any experience with this?
