I got this the other day at an antique store. I am pretty sure that it is a 1968 US Mint Set, but something confuses me. The quarter is a 1968P, the nickel is a 1968S, the dime is a 1968P, and there are two pennies, one being a 1968P and other a 1968S. It does not look like it has ever been open, if that helps. P.S.- There are not Philadelphia mint marks on my coins, as they were not put on the coins in certain years...

The Philadelphia Mint coins and the single Lincoln Cent struck at the San Francisco Mint were placed within a cellophane pack with a blue stripe and the Denver Mint coins were placed in a pack with a red stripe. The two were placed between sheets of light cardboard within a white envelope marked “1968 U.C.” with the Treasury Department address.

They're going for about $7 currently (for the set of the red & blue striped packets). So . . . $3.50 for your half-set.

Invest in a Red Book Coin Guide. Doesn't have to be this year's.

It will save you from making some early and costly mistakes.

There was no 1968 proof set from Philadelphia or Denver, and those aren't proof strikes.
