Missed it by "that" much
Boy, what a morning! Went to a local park this morning and wasn't doing too bad. In a little while the "old" guys started coming to play softball. Most usually say good morning but one stopped to "chat" with me for a while this morning. The usual stuff. What do you find? Finding anything good? etc He left and I went on about my business. I heard a yell and turned around. Three of the guys were chatting excitedly and the one that had stopped to talk to me came over and told me that one of the guys had just found a wad of folded up bills on the bench of the dugout. I was just over there earlier but I didn't look in the dugout! You can be sure that I will from now on!
I don't know how much he actually found because it was all folded up but even if it was just one dollar bills he still had a big wad of them. I can't imagine how someone could lose something like that and not know it! Well that was his good luck for the day.
STILL - I didn't do too bad myself. I got my 4-quarter goal in fact a little more! I found a hard ball of some kind, the usual pull tabs and junk and I also found a cheap earring. It is just junk but pretty.
All in all - it was a great morning. I hope yours is as good or better. My clad total for today was $2.21. I'll take it!
