I FOUND THIS ON THE PEARL RIVER IN MISSISSIPPI IN COPIAH COUNTY. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THIS IS THANKS

thanks very much here is a arrowhead i found in the same area.... im new at this and im very interested in the indians from my area (mississippi) so if anyone has any maps or info please let me know. and thank u again for the info it was very helpfill can you tell by this pic around the time frame they where from?

the first 2 pics is the same arrowhead i took a pic of both sides ...... i was woundering how much is it worth i dont want to sell it its my first one i have found but was just wanting to know thanks again ....

Your find looks like some type of chopping/scraping tool. Some of the flakes struck off it were probably used too as they would have been very sharp. If you like info. on Miss. and S.E. artifacts try this site. Alot of folks who know their stuff post on it.

thanks for the advice but I'm not wanting to sell my points they mean to much to me... i know that it is a artic point and i have a great site to keep looking at now thanks to palodian and i also have the chips off of my points I'm so happy about them i cant sell them i just wanted to label them with the info that i can find on them. palodian is suppose to take me on a archeology trip to teach me more i cant wait
