Missouri to Nullify All Federal Gun Control
The founding fathers designed the American political system with countless checks and balances in order to protect basic rights. One overlooked method that is finally getting the attention it deserves is called state nullification.
State nullification is when states decide to strike down legislation as it applies to them by simply no longer recognizing its constitutional authority. James Madison, the “father of the constitution”, strongly believed in state nullification, as did Thomas Jefferson and other founding fathers.
In their mind, the states came before the federal government, and any authority the federal government has only exists as an extension of the authority of the states; therefore, the states could strike down unconstitutional legislation. That’s exactly what the state of Missouri is set to do as they will make it illegal to enforce federal gun laws in the state.
The Republican-led Missouri Legislature is expected to override Gov. Jay Nixon’s veto of a bill that would expand gun rights and make federal gun regulations unenforceable — even as similar laws adopted in other states to buck federal gun rules face legal challenges.
Several of Nixon’s fellow Democrats told The Associated Press that they would vote to override his veto when lawmakers convene in September, even while agreeing with the governor that the bill couldn’t survive a court challenge. Many of them noted that in some parts of Missouri, a “no” vote on gun legislation could be career ending.
The legislation would make it a misdemeanor for federal agents to attempt to enforce any federal gun regulations that “infringe on the people’s right to keep and bear arms.” The same criminal charges would apply to journalists who publish any identifying information about gun owners. The charge would be punishable by up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
This is a hugely important move in reforming the entire United States political system. The states, individually, are far more pro-gun and pro-capitalism than the people are in general. The reason for this is that a handful of “liberal” states have a large population per state.Several of Nixon’s fellow Democrats told The Associated Press that they would vote to override his veto when lawmakers convene in September, even while agreeing with the governor that the bill couldn’t survive a court challenge. By reminding politicians that the states have the power under our constitutional republic, this leads to a far greater amount of liberty.
With nullification, states can opt out of Obamacare, gun control, and any other new policy of tyranny from the feds. Don’t expect the statists to go without a fight — this is headed straight to the courts. The good news is that what federal courts say doesn’t matter — that’s the entire point of nullification.
It’s the United STATES of America, not the United Feds of America. The power resides in the states and their ability to interpret what constitutional law is — not rogue regimes in DC.

Note from me -----"This will not happen in Oregon. The San Francisco libs are moving to Portland, and that population controls the state. To the best of my knowledge, our last two governors didn't even campaign outside of the Portland area.
What we do down south means nothing."
