John Kerry and Jane Fonda, sameo sameo boy san. Only Carter pardoned him for what he did, but Kerry darn sure won't let anyone see his DD-214. And now he's Secretary of State. So much for protect and defend the constitution.
For non military, DD-214 is your record of service and is an important legal document, a mini record of your time in the service, needed if applying for any veteran benefits or anytime proof of service is needed. It would show Kerry's discharge to be less then honerable. Considering what he did, probably a lot less than honerable, perhaps even dishonerable.
