Happy for the fellow..the piece as seen in the top photo looked like a conglomerate of burnt metal when I first saw it.Told him to clean it with bleach first, then dawn dish soap. With every cleaning more and more gold showed. He had a local jeweler drop some nitric on one ridge to confirm the yellow. If this guy spent more time at the spot he'd have 25 ounces by now now, though mostly small stuff.I found 9 DWT's there 30 years ago in two hours.Hopefully Kuger can get his equipment at the spot some year....Dave Wiseman(mldave)

He did some more cleaning, and more gold is visible(the whole thing is gold,I didnt think it was)but I still would not call it clean! He said he Hydrochloric.....but I dont think he did as the iron stain is still present and it is still dirty,I told him Muratic or Nitric....we will see what he does ???
