Modern Shotgun slug?

I found alot of these in a field. Some were flattened. This one appears intact. Is this a modern shotgun shell slug or is it something else? It looks like there is some writing on the top of it but I can't make it out.

Looks like a modern 1oz. slug. Someone was probably sighting in a slug barrel prior to deer season.

It's a Brenneke 1oz. slug.....Modern and very accurate....
