modified hand scoop.

so i had a scoop that I got tired of leaning over to use on the beach so I figured I modify it with a cross country ski pole and some time.

Very nice! Here's my quicky that I made a few years ago before my Myrtle Beach SC vacation. I cut a 4 in. PVC pipe on an angle, drilled some holes slightly smaller than a dime, hose clamped some wire mesh on the back, and used a spare curtain rod for the pole. It worked out great.

I also glued some magnets in my scoop so it would catch nails from beach fire wood.

Those should work fine for shallow dry sand. I'd never hold up to the abuse I put one to.
