Modified Kennedy Half Dollar?

I have now searched through four boxes of half dollars and found no silver. I did find this Kennedy half dollar.
It is plated in some metal (zink maybe?) and has two dates stamped on it.
On the left is 1960 and on the right 1985.
Any ideas why someone would electroplate and date stamp a Kennedy half dollar?

I found one just a couple weeks ago like it except mine was stamped 1960 and 1980.

I thought fo sure I had found a silver.

Yes.

Yes. There are also versions that are silver plated and some chrome plated.

You might find someone that will want to pay you more than 50 cents for one... Key word there is MIGHT.
