Monday's Finds in Western PA

Finally had a small break in the weather. The fields were still frozen solid but at least I could see some dirt (that didn't last long...I got home at 3:00 and we received 8 inches of snow in the next two hours). Anyhow, mostly just picked up shards but I did find one whole point, several tips/bases, and my favorite find of the day...what I am 90 percent sure is a spoke shave. At first I thought maybe it was just a flake, but the inner blade received secondary flaking. Do you agree?

I would have to agree with you on the spoke shave. I got out last week along racoon creek (beaver county) and had no luck. The field I was looking in was soupy and really tough walking. I could barely see rocks or anything. And after last night we might have to wait till the 4th of July to look again.

Sure looks like secondary work on it. You guys have sure been getting hammered up North. Hopefully you all will get a break before to long. Glad you were able to get out :thumbsup:
