Monday's Hunt
Met up with a ModernMiner to detect on Monday. The first site was a farm dating to the 1820's. Pretty cool place. Spent half the day there, found some clad, a parasol umbrella piece and a flat button. The backmark reads "IMPERIAL * ORANGE * " research shows it's English made dating 1820-1830.
We then moved onto a Civil War campsite he has been detecting, but only found modern .22 shells, lead and plenty of 12GA shot gun brass.
It was still a great day to be out detecting and spending time with Doug. For those that know Doug, you know that the best part of the day is hanging out a shooting the breeze with him, and hey, if you find something that day, bonus!
We'll do it again soon
