Another couple hours at the old dump provided a snuff box(?), a Hoover Dam token, a Boulder Dam token (same dam but 1932-1947 time frame), a WW1 army air corps pin, a small religious medal, a good luck token, a Barber quarter (my first!), and 2 mercs.
The coins were all stuck together and it took almost an hour in the electrolysis tank to separate them. They look to had been exposed to fire. The Barber quarter is 1911, the unscathed merc, which was in the middle of the stack, is a 1917, and the really bad one is 1920 something.
This fancy bottle was sticking out of the ground, wish it was whole. Does anyone recognize it?
I'll get back out there this week and see what else is awaiting discovery!
