Two different sellers, should have read (listings of the............same coin
I went back and SWR is correct...same seller...
I had opened several sellers in different tabs...had to many open at once...indeed it is the same seller.
He is selling the item twice???

8 REALES MACUQUINOS DE FELIPE IV, 1657,MEXICO Número del artículo: 170139602593
8 REALES DE PLATA MACUQUINOS DE 1657, FELIPE IV Número del artículo: 170140815628

I will contact him...and see if it is a misprint or see if he is selling both

Look again, Trez. Same coin, same seller, different description. The second auction was listed four days after the first one with a higher starting price...

Great eye, by the way. How long does it take you to find matching auctions like there?

I would wonder if they were using a "stock" picture in the listing, but noticed the background color was different in the two listings. Highly suspicious.

Odd...I noticed that if you click on View Sellers Other Items...nothing is listed?
I thought that too. Not only are the background different, the coin is rotated slightly in each shot as well. That is odd about no other items popping up when you hit the view other items button. I didn't notice that the first time.

The coins in question...actually on eBay Spain.......
Different sellers...and back to back on the listings........
It takes but a few seconds to find them......
There is no doubt...somthing smells of "China" made.......

The (darker background) photo looks like it was taken with a digital camera, the other with the coin placed on a scanner.

Great that you have identified the fakes. Do you post any of this information on Ebay?? Can you alert potential bidders to this? I'm just curious as to what steps beyond identification have been taken, and I feel we need to do something every time someone on Tnet catches one.
