More Finds from the Mining District

Got out on my trusty e-bike yesterday to scout out a new place to hunt. Found a smaller mine that was a bit off the beaten path and was able to pull a few targets that were interesting.

Recovered;
some pewter utensil parts,
several prosser buttons,
a .41 rimfire shell,
a Chinese cash coin,
a fancy finial for something,
a large pewter coat button, and some random camp junk.

The cash coin is from the rein of emperor KAO TSUNG, AD 1736-1795 from the MANCHU mint

Nothing too exciting, but it was fun getting out there, as usual.

Yes, there were probably more Chinese gold miners than any others, they were very good at mining for gold, though most of them worked for other claim owners for very little and many were abused...BUT for many of them it was a better life than they had in China.

Yes, Nathan. They mined all over the western states for sure. A lot in this area of Oregon, too!

Yes, it will climb almost anything that a 250cc dirt motorcycle will climb.
