Love bearded Irises!

Some kind of weed ... just liked the way the light was playing on it:

Yeah, I played a bit with the colors and focus but that's about all I did other than resizing them.

Pretty garden. There are some irises that grow out in the field behind me, but that haven't bloomed last I went by them.

You are ahead of us in the flower department. Our Irises are growing but none have bloomed as of yet. My mother has all sorts of colors on all 4 sides of her house. She calls them " flags " for some reason:dontknow:

I'm probably ahead because I'm at the southern edge of Arkansas. Will be about 90 degrees tomorrow.

Do the Irises your mom has look like these?

They're called Flag Irises.

Good pics. We used to call those flags. In Oklahoma, when you found those growing in the middle of nowhere, they were a good indicator there used to be a homesite on that spot. Lilac bushes and mimosa trees were other good indicators. Still snowing here so not much of any flowers around yet!

Yep, around here it's Jonquils that mark most of the old homesteads.

BTW, the Flag Irises pic is not mine ... I don't have any here.
