Thanks Realman! I've modified the post and embedded the video.

Very nice finds! I'm hoping to get in on a hunt out your way next year!

Yeah those Garrett Pro Pinpointers are much loved.

man I love your video's, are there any deep spots in the river near where you find this stuff ? holes, rocks, and deep spots act like riffles in a sluice box trapping debris and goodies. keep up the great work and thank you for sharing.

Thanks! We've not actually hunted the deep areas yet. We've only hunted the shallow spots and the river's edge. We plan to get back to this river in the future (next summer) and spend a lot more time in the deeper (middle) areas.

North fork of Shenandoah?

No. Southeastern U.S. is as descriptive as I'm gonna get. Thanks for taking a look though!

Great vid. And congrats on the finds. Can you say what river that is without giving away your location. Im a civil war buff and would like to know what river it is from a historical perspective. If not I understand.

Hey Ted. Believe me, everything within me WANTS to disclose the location - for the same reason. But I simply cannot, at least not until me and my partner have given it a pretty thorough goin' over. Thanks for watching.

Yes, I've read some good reviews on that one as well, but I've never used it. I've used several others, but nothing so far compares w/the Garrett, at least for my needs. I tried one of the waterproof Vibra-Quatics - did not care for it at all. Could just be me. I've seen the Garrett made waterproof w/loads of silicone, but it voids the warranty.

Now, if you were pullin out piles of silver like aquachigger I would understand.

Never could relate to those super stealth swingers who think there's a handful of guys waiting behind every bush to "steal their finds"

Not every bush ,but I believe a few monitors, Once it is gone, it is too late. HH

Yeah, and for me, it defeats the "saving history" notion. I see all these cool things and have no historical context for them at all. When I see a relic found, I'm interested in knowing what battle it came from, for instance... which is rarely disclosed. Hell, I can't even get these guys to help me understand how stuff can stay in a river for 200 years without getting washed away.

Hey Deadhead - I admit it. I'm paranoid. :o :laughing7: Really, I'm not trying to be over-dramatic or super-secretive, but I have my reasons. At some point, I'll reveal more about the location.
