I went back to the farm fields today and found a 1914d Barber Quarter on the surface. Also found a eagle calvary button I am not sure if it's civil war. And a Penn R.R. and NYC&H.R.R.R tag, pocket watche 7 buckles,thimble, button bale seal etc.

Only the Barber Quarter was on the surface.

Beautiful button. Specifically it’s a Union/Federals cavalry button. Depending on the size, big button would make it a coat button or opposite for a cuff button.

I can't find a match for the button. The design of the wings don't match anything on line that I can find. The back is missing.

I think this is the same as the button you found, the size compared to the quarter you found would make it a coat/jacket button, too big to be a cuff button.

Here's a better photo. Check out the lines on the eagles feathers. It is the size of a quarter.

When I looked up the button it was spelled both ways calvary and cavalry I was not sure what one was correct.

Calvary is a Christian related word, whereas cavalry defines soldiers on horseback.
