Nice finds from the cellar. Did you have rattler for dinner?

hehe May I ask what in the world you were doing in a cellar filled with snakes??? there better be a CS Buckle or TWO for me to go in there !! :laughing7:

I was already a couple hours into my dig when I found the first one. I know my snakes pretty well and they were all non poisonous. Just used a stick and put them in another whole. They were super slow anyway. It was too cold for them. Maybe y'all will think it was worth it when I finally finish cleaning and posting everything. That is if you are into relics and bottles. Those are my main two passions. Thanks for looking and good luck out there.

Couple of more finished up.

Holy crap. Not quite. I don't think Sam Bass's gold could get me on that one. Thanks for that picture right before I'm going to sleep :)

I hate snakes... Spiders I can deal with but snakes no way.. Hope you keep up the finds in that basement.. You would'nt have to wprry about me hunting in there...

Jeff, that snake photo calls for napalm.

Very cool things coming out of there.just keep an eye out while in there.around here you got to watch for rattlers and copperheads in those places.

Either napalm or a bigger weedeater than I have..

Hard to believe that all those buggers can find enough to eat .........................

That's a LOT of 22 shells - more than you can find nowdays.

Snakes are a well-known obstacle to us relic hunters!

Congrats on the great finds!!

Thanks for all the replies. This is gonna sound terrible, but I had my .45 ACP with me and the only reason I didn't use it was because there are way too many cool bottles :) so I was nice and relocated them instead.

That really looks dangerous. Garter snakes comming out of hibernation!

Those cracker jack tokens and play coins are heart-stoppers are'nt they? ... I have had to relive that at least a dozen times. Nice relics !

Looks like that first do hicky in pic 1 would fit inside of the second do hicky pic.don't know just guessing hard to tell from the pics.

Those get me every time. The big ones I have ( not sure if I have posted yet ) are presidential coins. I was wondering if you have ever seen one of those small 5 cent toy tokens? I can't find anything on them. Thanks for the help.

The first pic is actually the back of the second pic. Wish it wasn't so messed up. It looks like it used to be really cool looking. I guess a decorative brooch.
