Most Fun in a Long Time.....And a Kicker I'll Never Forget!!!!!!

Ty and I started the day off deciding excactly where to go...CW or old house site's?This new place had some Bowhunter's keeping us from checking it out,let them be out of respect. We ended up at a property that Ty had aquired through some us his daily work......CW was far from our mind, but in this area it wasn't out of the question either.Immediately,no more than two min.'s into the hunt I popped out my first "dug" Buff......1935-S,from then on I figured it was going to be a good day......

10 wheatie's later and a couple 50's Jefferson's made it even better.....1910,1934,1939,2x-1940,3x-1944,2x-1945...Jeff's were a 54-D and a 58-D.....

The little trinket's were plentiful as well.......

More Pic's........

Nice rare coins for you CM.

Nice to get a first anything isn't it. Yes, I've been in the woods to find guys 10 ft away from me in full camo. Pretty disturbing when you think your the only one around.

I knew it, a Washington inaugural button is around the corner! Looks like a US box plate in very nice condition. Mirage beat me to the question of box plate or belt plate, LOL. HH, Mike

Wow civilman1 you really cleaned that place up, I am sure there is more for another day.

I love the Buffalo Nickles, they remind me of how the American West truly was in those days.
Indians & Buffalos

Way to end the day with the US buckle.
Nice!

Joe,
Good deal. Congratulations on your first Buff! Very nice one with a date. I am surprise with all those wheats you didn't pull up silver.

Trinkets are cool. Looks like you got most of them. 8)

That US plate.....is that a "box plate" or a "belt plate"? I would think the former. A plate they would nail to a box not wear as a buckle....true? Either way it's a cool find.

Bob

Thank's for the reply Bob.....This is a "cartridge box plate",it was affixed to a leather "pouch" that held the paper cartridge's ready to load worn by each soldier.
