Found these 2013 & 2014. Northern Mn. Just to let hunters know that things r out there. Keep searching. You might get lucky and find that treasure of a life time. These are mine. One stone carved on both sides of N.A. Ornament Soapstone and a Copper Culture Socketed Blade. May you find what you seek.

The soap stone looks like a mold to make jewelry and you only have half of it. I would go back and sift the sand and also check for a horde of silver, pewter, lead, copper and bronze.
I would be happy to find things like that. Go back and check it more. roger

I have dug a 20ft x 2ft deep radius around area where found. Only rocks and rusted cans. Nothing was found related to stone. Imo a traveler dropped this while on the Vermilion Trail. This carved ornament stone with carvings on both sides has not been seen or recorded before now. I walk by this spot every day wondering how and who could have created this work of art. I have been in contact with a lot of people that are more knowledgeably than I with the same results of a mystery that will never be solved.

That's an impressive haul! I would have thought the Rochester city parks there were so pounded it wouldn't be worth detecting. Didn't you find a dollar too up at the Oronoco park? I stick mostly to rural hunting.

Ya a silver dollar about 4 ft. from the blacktop road in the park and many silver coins and Indian cents plus a few buffalo nickels. & tokens Oronoco, mn.
And 1 silver dime at the Oronoco school.
And Cowden's park on the hill Oronoco, Mn. Silver & Indian cents and a silver ring.

The 2014 finds took me many days and months to detect at Indian heights.
A lot of trees and shrubs were being cut down and it made some of the detecting easier.
