All I can say is the silver Gods must have been on my side today for getting the wife an MP3 player for Mothers Day.
They let me skip the rosies and the mercs and jump right to the barbers for my first silver coin. 1916 Barber dime. found a 1913 wheat (in very bad shape) the other day so its my second oldest, but first silver.

Ironically it was in my own back yard :o which I am really just using to get to learn my machine. House is not really that old, 83, and as far as I know the property was just standing woodlands before that. The only possibility I can think of is maybe it was part of a nearby farm which was established in 1715 or thereabouts.

Didn't find anything else but thinking about asking the neighbors for permission to hunt their yards as well, just in case.

Thanks for looking and HH.

That one's a beauty! You just never know where and when a coin will appear, though it's best to go with the odds!

That is one nice first silver... LOOK!!! I can see LIBERTY... Sweet... ;D ;D

That's a nice, crisp barber.....wtg.....first year of the barber as well. Go back, there may be a 1916-d mercury dime there as well.
