Horse blinkers are used on horses to keep their focus forward & away from distractions from each side.
I always thought they were called "blinders"!

It depends where you live. If you have batteries in your torch and a bonnet on you car, they are blinkers. If you have a flashlight and a hood on your car they most likely are blinders.
