Pretty good Treasue Flick sort of a Treasure Island type of film. You might like it.
It's severely underrated, I think it was Nominated for best family film that year

Just got through with the Halloween season, I saw a couple pretty good flicks streaming.

The Monkey (2025) actually looking forward to the sequel , if there is one

Although Pulp Fiction was a terrible thing with some good moments, but ultimately trashy,, yes 'i know'.. i know, i know
Gump and Hanks.... well , 'truth be told' this film was intended for an audience with limited capabilities..

There you go !! a couple of good modern 'classics' that I deem to be average at best...
My mention of the year 1994 , was not directly to do with cinema or film making, it was an allusion towards my understanding that humanity entered a 'downward trend' at that moment... cinema included !! tis all.

Yeah, the overall quality of films did start to go down around the mid-ninties. I personally believe the 1980's were the 2nd Golden Age of Film, with the 1st being the 1940's.
I do agree there seemed to be kind of a dropoff in the mid 90's though. Not a huge fan of cinema today, but occasionally something good comes out.
Actually the quality of young Directors that have surfaced in the last few years might be the best i have seen in a long time, at least technically that is.
Really when it comes down to it, its all about telling a story for the most part, if you don't have a story, than you dont have much.
Here is one you might enjoy, I personally think it was a masterpiece, Rarely ever gets a mention.

American Graffiti was one of my favorites but that was early 70's.

Interesting I guess Pulp Fiction isn't as loved as I thought. I thought it was a good flick, not sure how much of the soundtrack had to do with it, now that I think about it tho.

Yeah, I think I missed most of those flicks. I remember Trespass (1992) comming out, but dont remember watching it. I will have to check them out when I get the time.

Japanese Low Budget , I only saw the full Length Movie's Not Shortened One,
Once online it was Dubbed in English , Twice on Tubi in Japanese.
Don't matter though what they are Saying. A lot of Lame sight Gags .
Farting & Zombie Turds .
Works for Me, I Like Lame. But I would guess Most will Hate it

Yeah, films can be strange. You never know when you get a recommendation. I have had serious movie cinephiles recommend me things and I am just like what the f*ck is this.

I mostly stick with American Cinema, but every once in awhile something foreign hits or just works. It is alot easier finding hidden jems nowadays, before streaming and youtube you were pretty much on your own. Just the back of a VHS box to go by. Its actually kind of fun finding films from the past that I missed.There is just so much stuff out there.

I rarely Like what others Reccommend ! Professsional Movie reviewers
are Holier then thou when it comes to Movies

and the Academy Awards are Political ! The Movies are Submitted by the Producers Not the People & are Cry Fests ! I HATE Cry Fests and movies that are supposed to make you Think

You would never seee movie like Zombie Ass, American Pie, Porkey's or Lake Placid even Cross their Lips let alone "Sweep the Academy Awards !

I Have Different taste then others. 1932 movie Freaks was Genius imo
so was Kingpin , Zombie Land & Return of the living dead

My mother who was a music major and teacher had a thing for musicals. She talked me into going to see this when it came out in 1969. I reluctantly went and actually enjoyed it very much.
