Hello Gang,
I was helping a friend move a couch he bought second hand, and after we got to his house( we had loaded the couch in the back of my truck) I heard some change fall onto the bed of the truck as we were taking the couch out.
And on the bed of the truck were some pennies, a few clad coins and a 1917 Mercury Dime !!!

I kept the change as payment for moving the couch.( Gasoline is expensive ya' know !!!!)

Man, nice find. I've been delivering furniture for over 10 years and I've never find anything that old. Good job.

This reminds me of a story. I work as a custodian @ a local community college. One time some boneheads threw a loveseat out of a 3rd story dorm window into the garden. I had to drag it about 500 feet to a dumpster. When i got there i kinda threw it down real hard and quarters popped out the bottom. So i start slamming it up and down to get the change out.....At lunch my boss tells me security was watching me and could tell i was really po'd at students and stayed away. :D ......I did get about 7.00 in change though!...........sorry to hijack your thread,i had to tell this! :P

Neat find Mike!!

;)
