Ok, so my husband wanted me to start with a funny title. Today we had a pretty good score. He always lets me open the good rolls Here is our outcome...


box 1: 17 - 40%; 10 - 90%
box 2: 66 - 40% ( 5 - 1970's) ; 1 - BF

Of course he freaked out over the 1970's...I wasn't allowed to touch them!!

They are all 70-Ds in AU condition. Looks like someone cracked an uncirculated roll open. Will take pics and add later.

I think that back then they did not sell NIFCs in Mint rolls, but instead sold them in Mint sets that had other 1970D coins included (penny, nickel, dime, etc.).

Probably someone found grandpa's coin collection and busted open the Mint sets to cash them in. The nice condition 1970D halves are worth about double what a 90% silver half go for if you sell them to a coin dealer who is fair.

Yes and very inspirational too, can't wait to order on Monday for the following weeks 2sday. Who knows maybe July will be the opposite of last year when had 3 weeks of Skunks.

She does start to get a red nose when we haven't found silver in awhile... as you can see this was taken after the box finds. Wanting to take some pics of these 70-Ds but can't find a camera!
