Mr Bill's modded Classic ID/boost mod questions
I got the modded Classic ID working. Was a simple fix. DISC pot was connected wrong. This machine is/has definitely changed my mind about beep 'n digs vs TID machines.
Did the classic nail board/foil/coin test vs my MX5. Video is here:
It says it all, in my opinion.
There's NO comparison. I have no doubt I've passed up some good stuff due to the inability of the TID machines to separate junk from goodies.
The Classic's depth isn't really what I'd like though. Seems to hit 6" or so on an air test with a quarter.
I've heard there's a depth boost mod in addition to the GB/threshold mod. Not sure if this machine has it as the owner mentioned a resistor in the ID pod wasn't changed out.
Anybody out there know how I can check to see if the depth boost mod has been done too? If not, what do I do to increase the depth of this machine?
Thanks in advance....
