Gorgeous bird!
My older sister lives in the Osa jungle in Costa Rica, and she is a huge bird fan.
Some of the pics she gets of birds are incredible.

I've been a 'birder' for years. This is a beautiful bird; wish we had them in the States. Here's a pic of one taken from the Australian Geographic.

Is the musk lorikeet Australia’s best-smelling bird?
Do you know what a cockatoo smells like? How about a king parrot? Most of us have only really smelled an ibis (and not by choice – their odour precedes them by about half a block), but did you know that some birds actually smell great?

Our local zoo has a large aviary filled with those Loorikeets. You can buy a little cup of nectar for a dollar & they land on you to eat their snack. Kids love it.

I'll be honest I never knew they had a scent that was like musk. Just always thought it was a name given for some obscure reason. They're pretty flighty and spook easy so I can't see one staying put for me to have a sniff. But that's very interesting knowing that now. 👍I've been a 'birder' for years.
